The Atlanta music scene is never destitute or in need of a new hip hop dance, cliché or music movement, however the Atlanta music industry is always in need of a new sound, some distinction and someone who is not afraid to step outside the box, and spit hardcore lyrics that represent not only the streets of Atlanta, but the ongoing struggle of the world. This distinction is found in rap newcomer 'Diego Ca$h'.

On a cool, cloudy morning in Decatur, GA, two young men made a quick stop for gas. Although details are a little imprecise and vague a confrontation with a would-be assailant quickly took a terrible turn. Four shots later, one man was rushed to Dekalb Medical Center suffering from a gunshot wound and severe internal bleeding. The bullet had missed his spine by ¼ inch. The following months would prove a true test of this man. He was hospitalized twice. He suffered through several setbacks, special surgeries, and potentially crippling procedures. After months of intense rehabilitation, the man was finally back on his feet. With a renewed sense of dedication to his life and to his music, he returned to the studio. He had learned the hard way what many of us take for granted; life is precious and all too short. The wheels are now in motion. Soon you’ll know this man. In fact soon he’ll be hard to forget. Diego Ca$h's unique musical style is a direct reflection of the diversity of his upbringing. Christian "Diego Ca$h" Vazquez was born in Brooklyn, NY to Nuyorican parents Sam and Carmen on January 19, 1983. His early childhood days were immersed in the sounds of Salsa, Meringue and "Soul" music. After his parents separated, the young MC, his sister and mother moved to East Flatbush, an area noted for its mix of West Indian, Latino and African-American cultures. The sounds of Reggae, Calypso, Salsa and R&B, floated from every open window, door and passing car.

In 1996 the young rapper forged ahead and moved to the south to pursue his music career full time, and found his home, in the heart of Eastside, Atlanta. The rapid move to the "Eastside" of Atlanta finalized the coming of age of this superstar. Here he formed the relationships that would be the makings for the super group "Runnin Mates". He refined and perfected his unique musical style and began creating his own songs. Diego Ca$h had arrived. Now teamed with NBA superstar Carmelo Anthony’s Krossover Entertainment, Berg is about to hit the streets and leave an everlasting musical impact. Diego Ca$h's tentatively scheduled album 'Language Arts' will feature rap stars such as Rick Ross, Raheem Devaughn, Styles P, Jadakiss, Cassidy, Gorilla Zoe, Cool & Dre, and more.
